ENRIQUE JORRÍN OLEAGA
He was born in Candelaria, Pinar del Río. Musician par excellence devoted to the creation of the Cha-cha-chá in the 1950’s, he created pieces such as La engañadora (The Cheater), Silver Star, Cógele bien el compás (Get the Rhythm), El túnel (The Tunnel), and Nada para ti (Nothing for You), among others. He founded the orchestra bearing his name.
