She was born in Media Luna, Manzanillo. She stood out due to her devotion to Jose Marti’s ideas. A closer collaborator of Fidel Castro, in the armed struggle on the mountains and in the cities, she is remembered as a deeply sensitive and human heroin known from her death as the “most autochthonous flower of the Revolution”.
